Tetratic Lighting Series

This is a semi-modular system of steel armatures that hold 80# paper, pinched between the fingers of this lamp.

What I find most exciting about this design is that the paper shades really aren't anything special, they could be taken out and replaced with colored paper, or textured paper, or in our case, printed paper! This is a system that was designed to be changed and adapted, inviting the end user to put their own mark on our work is a really intriguing idea..

The toggle switches that we integrated into the design had the most satisfying *click-snap* of the dozens we tested, very scientifically, for hours in the aisle of ace hardware, and they really upped the cuteness factor.

This lamp was originally designed by Cade, for me, for our 1 year wedding anniversary (as much a gift for him, to design without my constant challenges, as it was for me, to be surprised with something so lovely) we then collaborated on how to redesign it easier to fabricate, more adaptable, and more affordable.
