Based in Tucson, AZ
Ingrain Objects is a repository of byproducts of the collaborative and conjugal companionship of Cade Shaw and Morgan Oster.

Morgan Oster is an Arizona native, raised in the woods of Flagstaff. Her early experiences ingrained a sense of wonder for the natural world and a deep respect for materials, making, and what endures.
She went on to earn her B.Arch from CAPLA, winning the 2018 Henry Adams Medal, before spending several years practicing in Los Angeles, CA. First at Project M+, a multidisciplinary studio of architects, interior and graphic designers, and later at AKA, where she worked on several multifamily urban infill projects.
Since 2021, she has been a lecturer at the University of Arizona School of Architecture, teaching first, third, and fourth year level studios. Teaching is a great passion.
In 2023 she co-founded Ingrain Objects, an architectural fabrication and design practice that begins to bridge architectural training to hands on making and craft at a smaller scale.
In her personal life, she is an eclectic hobbyist and maker with a passion for the arts both high and low.

Cade Shaw grew up playing around in the family steel shop. He knew early on that he loved to be creative and had the capability to make things. After graduation from the College of Architecture at the U of A he gained experience in Los Angeles working under Rick Cortez at RAC, a design build firm that specializes in adaptive reuse and custom steel door and window manufacture. He found an unsurprising knack and love for architectural steel detailing. Precision and craft is at the heart of all of his work.
Returning to Tucson post pandemic, with a renewed interest and passion for his family steel shop, he continues to absorb and channel the generational knowledge he is lucky to have access to into his own life and career.
We define our office by the web of people and places that foster our creativity.
